Looking good. Having used two halves to make a whole, what are you doing with the other halves?

well.. the equation is a bit unclear here. I think it will be like this:
1 half + 1whole + 1 whole= 3 ;) Maybe...

Luton screwdriver? Presumably a close relative of the Edinburgh socket set!

That is a wonderfully eccentric thing you are building there. Just when I think NG railways cannot get any crazier, then someone proves me wrong. Cool!

I´m getting closer to the final detailing of the first coach. I´m telling parts, and have been drawing some of the missing parts on ply in order to be able to build a second one of theese.
But now I´m jumping ahead. The first one has to get the roof finnished. Do you wise people have any solutions on how to fix it in an almost unvisible way? Sitting here and thinking of it, the simplest way would be just to glue it in place..

Making a roof of separate strips of wood would be the easiest - stain alternate ones red mahogany and pine (before you assemble them!) and it'll look very good! Are you not putting lighting in?

I too am looking for discreet way to fix a roof on, in my case it is on to a kitbashed LGB coach, I'll have to post a picture when I work out how to.
I have a plumber mate who only uses a screwdriver to remove screws, he puts them in with a hammer!!!

Tiny magnets will be my plan.

Mr. Dominic, I don´t have lightning in any of my coaches (or locos) I most definitely should deal with that as well, but not now I think. I do like the idea of using magnets in the roof. If I get to town tomorrow I shall pay a visit to the magnet dealer (for you swedes and norvegians: Claes Olsson) and see what they can offer :D

This is how far I have got by now. Small fixes still to do, but my mind is already working with nr.2 ,and some small alterations that I will do. I haven´t glued magnets in the roof yet. I wonder if it will be enough with two (amongst the centerline) or if I´ll have to use 4? The buffers will be measured in when I have built the nr.2 (That is because of a silly misstake leading to two different bufferhights on my stock   )

You've made a nice job of that and got your own piece of rolling stock, haven't seen any others like that.

Are you coming to Peterborough this year? This could be a MOTY entry!

Hi all.
First of all: Thank you for kind comments and replies on my projects :D
And of course I really would like to attend Peterborough, or some other GR gathering. I asked my much beloved, if I could maybe go to an event in the uk, and she gently aswered FORGET IT!! (still trying to figure out what she ment...)
Anyway, here is the first picture of the sister coach, wich shall be slightly different from the first one

The roof on the finnished wagon is a bit carelessly put on place on this picture, hope you don`t pay any attention on it

If you can't attend, you could enter the Virtual MOTY................

Good evening. I have built a lot on the second coach by now. This picture shows the benches and the alteration, caused by the back-to-back bench from the original Himalayan coach

Looks like a nice job you have done there.
I agree with Brian, try the Virtual MOTY competition.
