Whatever happened to the Ruston? Do you still have the drawings? I intend having a bash at scratchbuilding one myself.

Before you go and buy an I.P deluxe, have a look at Essel Engineering.
For about £25 more you get a ready to run 0-4-0 chassis with brass gears and all metal chassis, fully painted.
Much much more worth the money, I have had numerous problems with the gears on the I.P. one (shredding the gears, plastic) none at all with the Essel Chassis!

Whatever happened to the Ruston?

July last year,we had a major house fire and everything was lost. The Ruston, the Saltford O&K and Simplex + rolling stock. I even had some Saltford track. Brian and I were at Kew one year and I had the Ruston pulling 25 4 wheel wagons. Even Brian was impressed. Sold a fair few on the back of that. I did tell people that it was highly modded,but Brian had all the bits to build a replica. Didn't alf push the price as well.
