I did try it in B/W and in sepia but, because the background is a bit 'busy' the crane and its operator disappear.

With my Fat Controller's hat on, I have to point out that entries for the Gallery should (a) be the sole work of the entrant and (b) not be manipulated!
I'm sure Rik will do the right thing, and the original picture doesn't need any embellishment anyway, IMO.

Thanks Steve. As you say, the crane operator sort of disappears into the foliage which is why I decided against going b/w. Also, looks like the adjudicator's decision is final ....
