Well the Gladstone car re-entered service today in a interesting guise!!!

The ragged edge of the roof was cut off with siccors to create the multi-weather carriage. The sun lounging section at the rear was particualy popular!

However, after the carriage returned to the ANLR carriage shop, the old roof was soon stripped off ready for replacement.

what to do with the coaches
May I suggest unless in to AWNUTS (try 'AWNUTS Again' forum...very good fun) forget Dr Who...though!!!!???????
However
Left coach get rid of windows and have open sided
one on right ...trim roof ,have enclosed at one end and open at other?
then paint garish colours...just like glynn valley did to try and attract holidaymakers....nothing like pink to upset the oldies
or you could be unadventurous and rebuild them faithfully!
AWNUTS or Rivet counter...your choice

Looking brilliant.
As for the bridge we have bought oune of those thingymebobs that measures wind speed and are currently engaged in experiment to determin the maximum safe wind speed for light weight rolling stock.
This will allow us to warn people on windy days that there train may not be safe on the viaduct depending on the wind speed.

Well did the drawing for the rebuild of number. I have decided to rebuild it as a better version of what it was, a model of Welsh Highland Railway number 24. It will match the other Welsh Highland carriages for height now, previously it was taller. I'm also including some of the extra detail I put into coaches now, like droplights. I've also stripped the remains of the old bodysides off as well, so I'm left with a floor with seats and one end.

I've spent a busy day on number 4, although it looks like it has gone backwards!

The sad remains of the old body, which was taken off yesterday. The seats, which will be reused are in the middle upper of the pic. They were still attached to the floor this morning...

The coach as it stood at midday, with the new drawing. The one end came off in the crash, but it will be reused. The ends needed lowering to match the buffet car. Cutting the one that was still conected to the floor was an interesting operation!
The floor was also shortened as make it the correct scale legnth (well it was wrong before....
ok this sounds a bit rivet counter-ish to me, i'll beat myself with a stick later)

By the end of the day, things were begining to be stuck to the carriage insted of being taken off. Hopefully I'll soon start on the sides.
