I have to agree, those wagons look superb. A really accurate example of a well worn wagon. Thanks also for the links Ian.

yes, I did two actually. When they are finished I will post some pics. Originally painted them in grey primer, then brown over the top. I didn't have masking tape but used cellotape which seems to have worked alright. Problem is that the grain is vertical on the ends so looks a bit odd.

Excellent stuff!

The sight of the estate wagon got me thinking - have you considered the bodies from LGB toytrain skips? The frames are horrendous and go straight in the bin - but the bodies........

I wasn't too sure about that when I started looking at it - although I could easily imagine it turning into a "looker" once you'd set about it

Then with each photo, it looked better - until the final shot with the wagon, which looks totally stunning! Now I can't wait to see it once you've had the fettling stick out:D

Or the Sand Hutton locos, which were the same design! A fine model, but I think she'll better reflect the character of the originals once she's been weathered

Something amiss with the boiler to cab sheet area in my mind. Apart from that it looks like a lovely engine, full of charm.
