Hi Chris,

I have found both plasticard and wood works for me, although I do find wood is for me far easier to work with, with cutting and assembly. What ever I build out of any of these materials I never leave outside, but to that degree, now that our line is somewhat shorter now, with not having the turnaround anymore, it’s left less space to put buildings on it, so it’s easier now actually not having permanent buildings on it. The wagons and whatever else is put away after each run anyway.

Enjoy what you build and don’t get too discouraged 🫤 with the stuff that doesn’t quite work out.

Thanks Rod.
My next planned project is to make a powered road rail maintenance vehicle.
The donor model is a 1:18th scale Ford ex French fire brigade water tender .
Progress, or demolition so far .

Bit of a strange question Peter  Chris has answered itself with
“The Master of course” :notworthy:

Chris,

I am not old enough to have heard and remember the original broadcasts! A fair few were re-broadcast in the time when I had audio equipment and was able to tape them for repeated listening and absorption of bits of Goonery, and Google is very useful in making vague memories accurate,

No, that's the Model A.

I meant to say, have a 1/18 Model T in an early stage of conversion, similar to what you're doing here. You can of course expect a thread on it, once progress moves beyond the "Initial Dismantle And Lose Interest" phase..

You've already overtaken me, and I'm very much looking forward to seeing your build evolve.

Been waiting for parts on order to be delivered for the truck project . Have managed to get it to run on two AAA cells but will go for a three cell battery pack . made the pickup body using , plasticard and then laminating it with kebab sticks .

Progress so far.

Looking good Chris. If you fit 3 AAA cells (3.8v) RC Trains have a Rx unit which will allow radio control to be fitted. I have just fitted one in my Messerschmitt model conversion.
