I'm going to guess the Old Kiln Light Railway... but I must admit it's not a line a know anything about, I'm more taking advantage of the fact you've left quite a bit of detail of the loco in shot and I did a bit of web searching

(and I've probably still got it wrong)

Nope, you're spot on!
Went there on Sunday. A pleasant day out. Also had the pleasure of watching the Berkshire Bedlam Morris Men who performed a series of fairly complicated Fieldtown dances.

PS. Make an interesting set of passengers for a slightly different quarry mens train

You get the silver medal. Impressive considering you are over the pond, Drew.

Thanks! The platform looked familiar from this video I'd seen a few years ago:

You're too good at this. It is indeed the Bredgar and Wormshill.
Unfortunately, they weren't running today as the heat had buckled the track in a couple of places.
Furthermore, I was stuck on the M25 for nearly half an hour. I did manage to exit at a junction and circumvent the accident which closed both carriageways. Some poor folk must have been stuck there for hours given the length of stationary traffic both ways.

I've just watched way,
way too many videos of British narrow gauge railways. Martin (
@WLR_CD) always talked about both his layout and Bredgar on Model Rail Radio (when that was a thing) and I had to look it up to see what it was like. I hope to see some of these fascinating little railways for myself someday!

This is based on years old memories of the place (got to go back!) but is it Amberley Chalk Pits?

Indeed it is! Fortunately, they were running the train but only until midday, so I did manage to bag a ride there and back.
Interesting exhibits. Must arrange to come back when they have an event organised. I'd love to see some of the craftsmen at work.

I don't think I've been there since the late 90s (or early naughties?) when we exhibited our 0-16.5 layout Upper Creek (with its many wonderful gimmicks - working clay tippers, a traverser, real water in the mill stream, sacks of flour loaded from a chute). But as a child I used to go there frequently, here's a pic of me there a mere 43 years ago (I'm immediately behind the driver).
I remember the excitement when they filmed View to a Kill there, when it played Main Strike Mine in Silicon Valley. It was also used as a location in Doctor Who (The Deadly Assassin) as part of Gallifrey's Matrix.
A few years ago I was
on the Isle of Man at the same time as Polar Bear, it was like bumping into an old friend...

Model Rail Radio, I think I was on that over a 10 year period!
Good to see the BWLR on here, I will be down there on Sunday, our open day and classic car show. Hopefully they will sorted the track by then, in which case I will be driving one of the diesels, having driven my classic car there as well.

Sorry to miss it. I clearly chose the wrong week (for all sorts of reasons)
