That's why it's divided into four compartments with dwarf brick walls! And, the wagon is a PO one owned by the Sunshine Sanctuary............

yes but i thought you were putting 4 dragons in, with 2 compartments that is two per compartment, unless its a male and female per compartment?

I could only afford two................... but they are delightful and incredibly detailed!

My education in Swamp Dragons is clearly lacking! Here in Wales we only have one type of dragon and everyone knows all there is to know about them.
Can I see an example of yours please?

Ok, I had to look up the dragons reference. I have to admit that I too have part of the layout which is actually reserved for a dragon´s cave, hidden away next to the K&NWLR company warehouse. And since the last edition of SMT I even have the appropriate Welsh translation .....

The Ankh-Morpork & Sto Plains Hygenic Railway is delighted to announce the entry into service of its Dragon Wagon.

This wagon has been designed to facilitate the safe and expedient conveyance of the Common Swamp Dragon (Draco Vulgaris). It is capable of carrying four dragons, each in its own brick lined compartment, so that any accidental flaming does not result in the instant destruction of the vehicle. The sides and roof are constructed of metal mesh, so that in the unfortunate occasion of a major flame and/or explosion, the flames and remains will stay within the wagon, but the force of the blast will dissipate through the mesh, again preventing the destruction of the vehicle.

The design has been approved by the Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons.

I assume they all exploded! Are you going to "weather" it with dragon poo and scorch marks?

Good luck in the competition Brian but make sure the judges don't injure themselves on the sharp edges of that mesh!

There are a couple of small dragons in there..................... and the mesh is the soft aluminium stuff that's used for car fibreglass repairs. The edges of the side openings have all been folded over, as well.

I do like it Brian, very clever.
I look forwards to seeing it at the show.

The CLR is guarded by a Welsh dragon that sways and articulates in the wind watching what goes on from its position high in the gazebo.  Whilst Suffolk is many flying miles from the principality our friend Blodwyn is ready to singe the backside of any non believers. She is also likely to search out anyone not complying with The Transport of Animals Order whilst carrying dragons on trains.

Did you enter the competition Brian?
If so, how did you get on?

I did, and I was Highly Commended - couldn't argue with the winner, though: an Accucraft Baguley with square wheels and suitiably knobbly track to run it on!
