The "spur" of having to get it done for Peterborough should help you get it done!

Hi All,

(Sorry if any of you may have seen some of this on the FB Group already)

Back on 22nd March, I managed to get over to the Longmead Branch to carry out further testing on the MPV ... and .... well it was an outstanding SUCCESS!! It happily trundled up and down the branch during the afternoon and it also proved itself on the 1 in 40 incline.

Here are some pictures for your perusal: :D

Very nice, good to see this reaching a successful conclusion.
"What the hell is that?"
"It's a model icebreaker sir."
"It's a bit big isn't it?"
"It's a full scale model sir....."

This would be a very credible MOTY entry but I'm sure that you will lose a point or two if it isn't finished and that is clear to the judges. The problem then is that once you've entered I don't believe you may enter the same model again.
If you can finish it in time then I suggest enter this year if not then wait till you can enter the completed version.
It would be a shame to miss winning for the sake of a few minor issues.

Good luck whatever you decide.
Regards
Andy McMahon

I should bring it and let it have a trundle round the modular layout - with luck, the paint might just've dried in time on most of the modules, so a PW vehicle could well be appropriate............

Thank you Gents for your kind comments.

Sadly I cannot be at the Show this year, but I will definitely be there next year and will maybe enter the MOTY, I've well and truly missed the Virtual Deadline for this year now!

Brian, I shall take you up on your offer next year!
Cheers Tom

Very inspiring. Many thanks for the thread and the ideas which will be stolen shamelessly for the K&NWLR.
