Second hand MSS G1 loco?

Post by Desperado » Sun Dec 15, 2013 5:18 pm

Hello there!
Just a newbie question:
How can I find a second hand MSS steam loco in a very good shape without lost all my money in a deep hole?

Only buy it from a reputable dealer or someone prepared to let you see it running first.

They can be made to run well but expect lots of work...Recommend a Mk2 Mamod Ltd. over this by far..Do check out the Mamod section.

I'd recommend a secondhand Jane or Janet - there's one here;

and I can personally vouch for it being a good example.

You can contact the seller on here by the username of dougrail

You need to ask yourself what you want the loco to do first rather than just looking at the price tag.

Feel free to ask questions from different providers of loco as most of us on here own at least one example.
