Sorry Dan, I've been through my library but can't find any reference to the actual colour - I'd second the suggestion to try the W&L direct, they're usually very helpful

Thanks for the replies, I've sent an Email to Phoenix and hopefully they will be able to sugest an alternative.

Right, will look into it further in the new year, or when the loco gains some tanks.

The only problem with "pictures" is that they're notoriously inaccurate for colour reference. Different lighting conditions, angles, camera's, computer displays / printers etc all giving different shadesDannypenguin:93645 wrote:There is a picture on this thread: http://gardenrails.myfreeforum.org/ftopic7599-0.php

(A recent W&L facebook photo showed Chattenden maroon! - it was the setting sun that caused the effect!)

OK - I finally got around to speaking to somebody in the workshop at the Tramway Museum this morning. The chap I spoke to kindly went into the stores and looked at the last tin of paint they'd had: it was supplied by T & R Williamsons, the reference numbers on the tine were SP7905 and 290313 and it was called........................ wait for it.................. Glasgow Bus Green!
Sorry if that's not as helpful as it might have been, but it's likely to be the best we're going to get!
