Personally I found that difficult to judge, simply because of the extra size (of the main hall, atrium, bar and cafe areas) - allegedly, according to ticket sales numbers were up on previous shows. I suppose we'll have to wait for the official figures.

There's no doubt that the fuel crisis and the recession played their part, but I think those that chose not to attend due to the change of venue were replaced by those that found the new location easier to get to.

As for other comments - I personally found the staff much more helpful than the "jobsworth" attitude of those at Stoneleigh, and I anticipated the prices charged at the catering outlets (which were no more than typical nowadays) so took my own flask and sandwiches.

It did not leak, some one opened the valve on the oil fuel supply in the tender
