laalratty visits the Llechfan

As I mentioned in my holiday topic, an attempt to ride on the Talyllyn railway went wrong because I found the Llechfan garden railway in operation, with quite a few people I knew running trains. So despite me not having a loco with me, I stuck around for the rest of the afternoon whilst dad rode on the railway. Here are some of the pics I took.

The sign says it all, as the Llechfan is slowly gaining many of the buildings from Compton Down. I was lucky enough to meet Kes as well

I was suprised to find none other then Dolwyddellan light rail there with Snowdon, looking a little bit grubbier then it did when it visited the ANLR!

Then things started to get serious, with a triple header

Roundhouse Linda and Snowdon double heading a collosal train, that included anything you could imagine, carriages, wagons and a dead mamod as well

Thanks to all who were at the Llechfan for a fantastic afternoon, I'll certainly be back and with a loco this time

Awesome photo's fella. Love it. If you had run an engine you would of missed all those moments.. Actually the pump trolley thing looks interesting to me. Looks to be made from a tomy big hauler chassis. I got one the other day for 10p, seems more apt for 45mm though due to wheel spacing. But that one is 32mm, hmm more planning.

Damn, perhaps I should have gone a-volunteering this weekend!

I'm thinking sometime in August, regardless of loco or not - as I have mended Highlander, I would have something respectable to run - play with.
