It's nice to see Zig Zag back in operation after the fires, closures and setbacks.

Now on our way South towards Melbourne. En route, we stopped off to see what remains of the trestle viaduct at Gundagai. Wow!!! What a magnificent structure!! A pity the line is now closed but the track is still in situ. I can't see the trestle being restored though: sadly it is slowly rotting away.

You pick your days to visit, first hot day here since last summer. Hope you enjoy your visit to PuffRail.

Belgrave and Puffing Billy.
The museum at Menzies Creek is worth a look Rik, inside is our Garratt, and the Climax among others.

Thanks guys
Greg couldn't have planned it better. Not only the best weather for a while, they had the Garratt in steam and our train was double headed. It split at Lakeside and our half continued to Gembrook with on loco while the other loco took the remaining half back to Belgrave.

Blagged my way on to the footplate of the Garratt. Only time I've found a Pommy accent to be useful.

Didn't really have time to do more than travel from one end of the line to the other. But that was a great experience.

Looks an amazing holiday Rik! The feet out of the carriages looks fun but rather unusual to the British eye. "Keep arms and legs inside the carriages" is so drilled in!

It's become a bit of a "thing" on the Puffing Billy. It's bloomin uncomfortable, if the truth be told.
