Accucraft Countess Valve timing

Post by Marklinsteam » Fri Aug 11, 2023 2:21 pm

Good afternoon everyone,

I am new to this forum and I hope someone will be able to help me. I have an Accucraft Countess locomotive which unfortunately took a tumble before I acquired it. On inspection I found the crank pin (middle wheel) to which the valve linkage is attached was bent as was a connecting rod. After straightening the pin and rod I tested the locomotive. The loco attempts to run forward or reverse but the wheels will not complete one full revolution. I suspect the valve timing has been thrown out of sync because of the fall.

Would anyone on this forum have a diagram of how the valves should be timed or have photos/images of a Countess from both sides and underneath that I could check with my locomotive?

Looking forward to your responses.

John
