Thanks everyone for your kind replies, they are appreciated. As Graeme mentioned it is a new van, and the goods roster guards are very pleased with the update from the old 4 wheeler. I needed a van more suited to running either way, as opposed to the combine type, and the new van is in the older livery (although I have to admit it was the result of mixing the colour under artificial light and not intentional) and suited to both goods and passenger use.

Graeme, will catch up at the GSSU where I see you will have some new items to show.
Grant.

Very nice!

I love the real railway vibe, like a Southern hemisphere version of Rik's line. The new brake's a lovely vehicle - I'll be building a guard's van myself soon, but unfortunately NWNGR/WHR vans were very much more basic!

All the best,

Andrew.

Thanks one and all for your comments,
Andrew,
With time, I now realise a few short comings with the appearance of my pass. cars. I don't think I'd go about it the same way again, trouble is they're a matching set and to do something different means a whole new set. While not impossible, what I have serves its purpose. I really like stock like yours that have full length steps along the sides, just shouts "narrow gauge and era" to me.
Grant.

Wonderful pictures Grant showing what I would of wanted my railway to look like but never was.

The loco looks just right with a mix of matt and shine just like the real thing.

Thanks Tom,
Mitch,
The 4 wheel wagons are scratch builds of timber and using axle box castings and "W" irons from Argyle, that are no longer available.

Wasn't overly happy with today's pictures Peter, but put them up as not much seems to be happening on here.
Hope no one is suffering some of the bad weather I've been hearing about on the news, especially
where you are Peter.

You have to admire this railway. One of the most atmospheric garden railways you are likely to see.
