You have those chaps trained well Julie, I had to build my railway alone!

It looks like it is coming together, looking forward to the finished product.

No training involved Tom, just great company and ample supplies of food, drinks and, most important of all, friendship!
The location is a dream world, well off the main roads and set in glorious surroundings with no background noises to disturb the mind.
I think even you Tom would have a different view of Wales if you visited this area!

Some serious woodworking skills going on there… :thumbright:

If the structure can take the weight of those guys, who knows what you can run on it.

Brilliant I love it. The shed looks ok to me Julie. :thumbright: :thumbright:

Who's lurking under the railway in the first picture? Can't work out if it's a dog or a cat?

She is one of a pair of Welsh Terriers, lovely, lively, friendly dogs with loads of energy. Railway installation consisted of fit one length of track, throw the ball... etc...

That's a very impressive railway and it's all come together nicely. It will give you many hours of pleasure and repay the effort many times over.

Love the buildings Julie and now it’s all systems go for running your own locos. :thumbright:

Maybe an extension is on the horizon…. :thumbright: :thumbright:

Lovely spot for the railway. Difficult to decide which background is real and which is photographic.

That sloping site has given you the benefit of ground level and raised running. Enjoy adding detail to it, that's one of the better parts of this hobby, I feel.
Is the backdrop in the shed a picture of your local view, or a commercially available one? I quite fancy a photographic representation of my local view for just one part of my line.

The picture in the shed was bought from the well known auction site. Type in Tuscany landscape mural wallpaper and you should be able to find it. It just resembled the view behind the shed, so I was very pleased.

Indeed. It looked a bit Preseli to me, hence my question 8) . Thanks for the info.

Met a friend the other day,, and he handed me a little package. Inside these beautiful turntable locking levers appeared. What a work of art. Amazing hand made. I haven’t fixed them to the turntable yet They were based on an American Narrow Gauge Railway.

Splendid.

It is great to see another 16mm line in SW Wales.

Hopefully mine won't be too long in the starting.........
