Day out at Beer

I have just got back from a weeks holiday with the family in sunny Weymouth.  I was lucky enough to be able to sneak a loco into the car so a bit of running at pecorama was possible.
I can highly recommend attending one of these running sessions if you are in the area. They are organised by the East Devon group of the 16mm association and if you contact Ian Gurr beforehand you will get in free!

This was the first time I have been able to give my caradoc a proper run and she went like a dream.

Pecorama is brilliant, the gardens are spectacular, the BHR is huge, all the staff are incredibly friendly and the prices are very reasonable. My young son, wife and aged mother had a great time while daddy played trains.

Waiting for the GPO to fix your phone might be the reason things aren't working properly. OR are you just showing your age?

Excellent pics. I´ve been to Beer a couple of years back, but sadly no trains in this scale were running. Fantastic site all in all, and of course the larger scale trains are always a treat.

Rather late into this thread ( ) but nice pics I always love Beer for the 7 1/4 inch railway + the Seaton tramway isn't far away.

The miniature railway is amazing, much bigger than I remember from umpteen years ago.
