what battery packs does everyone use for there battery locos and what sort of time do they run for

It dependson what the loco needs in the way of volts. The small locos I use on Flagg Fluorspar run on 2 X AA dry batteries for around two hours, but this is intensive exhibition use.

I've got 4xAAA from Strikalite in an Andel Midget and havent run thm flat yet, just recharge at the end of a session.

Don't forget Sanyo Eneloop which hold their charge. I add a futaba charge plug to all my batteries, reciever for R/C steam and electric deisil power. They get charged every now and then. Voltspy lets me know the level but the charge plug can too.

I run mine on 7.5 volt R/C car battery's. Don,t buy cheap Chinese copy's of fleabay they can be dodgy and catch fire. http://www.componentshop.co.uk/batterie ... ntrol.html
