Fireless Loco

Post by -steves- » Tue Jun 15, 2021 10:13 am

I was asked to put together a kit for a Linke-Hofmann Bt, which is a small fireless loco. I am part way through the CAD work on it and thought I would share the progress so far. It is only 7.5" long and 6" high :D

Ignore the odd square on the bottom of the loco in this picture, it has since been removed

Fireless locos are a totally new concept to me, how interesting! I guess they make sense in many industrial scenarios.

Model looks great :thumbright:

I have seen one or two about. The Sittingbourne and Kemsley Light Railway I believe has one in their yard somewhere, much bigger than this one though, called "Unique" which is a 2-4-0
