Things must have changed then. My great great uncle had a dairy farm and as a small child I remember going in there once, and the memory lingers to this day.... as I said... Phwoaar!

I'm not obsessed with cows, honest
Looks like they might be obsessed with your trains though ......
As Peter says, great to have such gentle neighbours

PS - Has nothing to do with me being born on a dairy farm .... but I do love the smell of a milking parlour
I wouldn't try milking our regular neighbours - I think bullocks may take exception!

Being Bullocks they are only our neighbours for the summer, being fattened for market. This year's cohort are very amiable - one year they were very excitable, and took a liking to eating the ballast - I now have an electric fence as a deterrent, but they still come to say hello.

Cheers gents, though I can't say I'm a fan of the local atmosphere - it was 32C/89F in the van today, just turned on the aircon for the first time this Summer - and we're only 13 days into Spring, yet.

Hi all,

I was hoping to take some new pictures for this, but since the opportunity hasn't arisen, and to join in the fun, here's a photo you've seen before - My favourite picture of my railway so far...

I think this is the closest I've got yet to recreating old Welsh Highland atmosphere.

Hi Andrew,

It certainly does have all the atmosphere that you see in photos from the '20's and early '30's. I love it!
