Actually Peter, I was thinking that perhaps you would have entered a shot of your dockside/harbour, which I think could have given Rik a run for his money.

Re: Garden Railway Gallery, Winners Thread
Thanks Philip, I thought I should give Rik a chance..... My mind works in strange ways (as everyone knows) so I saw an opportunity to include the current lock-down situation, perhaps as cartoonists interpret the world?

And a cracking idea it was too Peter. I was torn between Rik's entry and yours. You were an extremely close second in my eyes.

Thank you Andrew for appreciating my sense of humour. There are two others out there too as I didn't vote for myself!

Congratulations Rik - a worthy winner. It is encouraging to try and aspire to your level of expertise, both in terms of modelling and photography.

Re: Garden Railway Gallery, Winners Thread
Well, thanks to everyone who voted for my piccie. I thought there were several others which were equally as good and I'm sure there may have been some forumites out there who could have come up with photos to beat mine.
Next quarter's theme ...... Hmmm .... How about "Railway idyll"
Something which sums up what is perfect about a railway scene, for you. It could feature trains, or locos or rolling stock or not, such as a quiet scene at a station, wayside half or just some track meandering through the garden.
I'm sure most of us have a shot tucked away which sums up that theme....

Re: Garden Railway Gallery, Winners Thread
My apologies folks, been a bit tied up the last few days.
However, I can now officially announce that the winner is a dead heat between Egor and myself, with 5 votes each!
Sunset at the end of summer Errr...in the rough It is of course the winners privilege to decide the theme for the next Quarter, and since I've already done that for a previous Gallery, I'll leave it to Egor to think up the next theme.
Egor, if you could let me know as soon as you can, I'll set up the new entry page.

Congratulations on a well deserved win Kjell. Not only is it a great shot of a lovely loco, it also shows what a lovely railway you have built.

Re: Garden Railway Gallery, Winners Thread
A big thank you to everyone who voted for my photo.
And the theme for the next Quarterly Garden Railway Gallery will be:
Funny people and situations on the Garden Railway
As I know the members of this forum, there should be many good candidates for the topic.

Re: Garden Railway Gallery, Winners Thread
Ooops, my apologies, I've just realised that I haven't actually announced the winner of the March gallery, which was, by a mile, Peter Butler.
Well done Peter, now you just have to propose the next theme please.
