Lastest product from the CCLW

A very popular starting point for Live Steam. With their low cost comes a number of problems which can be discussed here

Hi Dave,

Thank You for that information. I'm not in the market for an HGLW loco at present (having too much fun with Live Steam just now, but I did pick up some of his excellent rolling stock kits) but I can now see the advantage of using CR2's both for the space needed plus the increase in voltage over 2 x AA/AAA's. Details archived for future reference.

Hi Mike,

Yes the Accucraft valve gear is more conducive to using control only on the reverser. My Ragleth generally runs well on single channel R/C, albeit slightly surging initially till everything warms up. Just waiting for David Hippey to receive his order from The Train Department which includes 2 upgrade Accucraft steam valves for my fleet. I had the opportunity to run a Roundhouse Tom Rolt on our Industrial Railway Group's 45mm layout, and did try to run it just using the reverser to vary the speed for a set position of the regulator, but the valve gear they use is not conducive to that style of control.

Does this embed code work here?

<object width="640" height="480"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/SmiMQWbqIFY?ve ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/SmiMQWbqIFY?ve ... n_US&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="640" height="480" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>

Yes it does, and it works in IE9 as well.

Looks like I've found a better work round for the lack of the old embed code on YouTube - Eureka!

Not on android, so a link would still be useful so the clip can be viewed in the youtube player.
