War Department Mamod - Memorial Sunday Train 10 Nov 2013

A very popular starting point for Live Steam. With their low cost comes a number of problems which can be discussed here

In Flanders Fields by John McCrae

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place, and in the sky,
The larks, still bravely singing, fly,
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the dead; short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe!
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high!
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

A very fitting tribute Peter. Thank You for posting that video.

I like your rake of WD rolling stock. A very simple but effective conversion of the plain Mamod/MSS range.

Thanks Chris. I conceived the idea when I was building the 0-6-0. It was a genuine project that I wanted to complete for today as a way to mark Remembrance Sunday / Armistice Day. I started the rolling stock project at the end of July and completed it last weekend so just in time for a run in memorial today.
