Can a MSS Saddle Tank be fitted with an in cab reg?

A very popular starting point for Live Steam. With their low cost comes a number of problems which can be discussed here

Can a MSS Saddle Tank be fitted with an in cab reg?

Post by TTHLRMatt » Sat Jul 06, 2013 11:41 pm

Hiya, quick questions. I am thinking of making a sister engine to my current saddle tank loco, Caradon. This would be called Liskeard. Anyway, to do it up, obviously a upgrade boiler could be fitted but, could and how could an in cab reg be fitted?
Your thoughts please?

If you can remove the plug that MSS soft solder into the rear boiler insert and modify the surrounding bodywork then yes. Here is the MSS Saddle Tank revealed - http://gardenrails.myfreeforum.org/about279.html
