does anyone run a new mamod saddle Tank?

A very popular starting point for Live Steam. With their low cost comes a number of problems which can be discussed here

With Mamod displaying No.14 on their YouTube video it is unlikely that anyone on here has one - until now!

I've just bagged the 2nd hand one on eBay, and as it has been used I will be firing it up to investigate that Saddle Tank, etc.

Will let you know when it arrives.

I was so glad you brought it as I was getting itchy looking at it too. I wanted it too. I just am in the wrong place financialy and will be for a while,. It will be so exciting seeing and reading all about it. Glad the DR. has it. Wishing you much fun and experimentation.

Well everyone has been eager to hear how this saddle tank loco runs, but alas it is currently getting the run-round from myHermes.

They say delivery has been carded 3 times now but they must be using a new type of invisible paper as I've not seen a card yet. Very annoying as they do not allow pick-up from their depots, and rely on self-employed couriers. They managed to deliver a parcel last year so not sure what the problem is this time.

Hate to say it but was it addressed correctly by the seller?

We'll find out tomorrow if myHermes decides to answer my e-mail or actually answer their depot phone.

It has finally arrived, and is currently in bits.

I'll start a new Topic for it soon.
