Andrew, I am going to find it very hard to send this back to you - it runs perfectly!

Superb job there Tom, great result. You are a most fortunate owner Andrew, I hope you get plenty of use and ability to show her off at every opportunity.

Wow! Tom, that's fantastic, thank you! I'm very much looking forward to giving her a run back home sometime (naturally she's already rostered for the first passenger train of next season), but for now - enjoy!

Thanks again,

Andrew.

Rather embarrassingly, I don't think it was anything like that clean when I sent it to Tom!!!

Happy tinkering Tom!

Andrew
I wouldn’t worry about being embarrassed Andrew, I sure most of us don’t think to spend that much time on cleaning our locos to get them that clean.

Great Video tom! Was Russell the Last Movement on the RWLR before closure?

I guess it was meant to be but it keeps clinging on as I fitted another Slomo today to an elderly Lady Anne and it was test run with Andrew's Russell:

Too cold to make a video unfortunately!

Now that is impressive. I'd say that was the best advert for Slomo I've seen. In addition to the slow controlled running, I'm especially impressed by the way the loco entered, negotiated and left the curve which, from videos of live steam locos I've seen over the years, seems usually to be live steamers' Nemesis.

Love your Amy Tom, she sure does ooze quality. The whistle seems a lot more realistic now too.

A lovely video, wonderfully atmospheric. I particularly love the shot where the train trundles past the lone carriage sitting in the siding. There's something about parked stock that's feels very realistic I think, perhaps because it hints at the "real" life of the railway, where wagons are loaded and unloaded, and carriages wait to be added to the train on busy market days...

All the best,

Andrew.

Thanks Andrew.

As my railway lacks atmosphere little additions such as stationary stock in a siding help add a little hint of a working railway.

I managed to sneak in another running session today, very rare for me to be able to run trains two days in a row!

Me too - and I'm still not buying the "no atmosphere" thing, I think your line has buckets of it! So impressed with how smoothly everything works as well - it certainly isn't one of those lines where you watch videos from behind your fingers because a derailment seems inevitable any second! Strong and stable, as someone once said, and a pleasure to watch...

Double heading today although only one loco in steam as it was too cold to fire up the coal fired dragon as well!

Always great to see your Lady Anne in steam again Tom, doing a great job steaming along quite nicely.

I will try and steam both next time, should be challenging!

Oh for a continuous run...

I can think of three time when I've tried double-heading single-handed, and all ended in disaster! With slomo fitted engines, full radio control and a well-fettled line I reckon you've got a chance though Tom!

I haven't double headed single handedly, but have double headed my Lady Anne with another Lady Anne seen at 9:26 into the following video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XhWGIasy_dQ

Is double heading with Deltang equipment easier? With my current R/C sets I don't have enough hands to double head on my own!
Ian
