Cheers Tony, brilliant video, theres even a few clips of my loco's.
First time visiting Llechfan (about 20 years since I was last at the Talyllyn) wonderful little line, everyone was very friendly and welcoming, will definitely be returning next year.

Regards,

Richard Cooke

I did enjoy it very much. A marvellous layout and some wonderful engineering on display. I was amused by the yellow (MoW?) diesel at the beginning which put out more smoke than some of the live steamers and seemed to be powered by a swarm of angry wasps. :D

The diesel does sound worse than Anne's tram, but saying that I did enjoy your video Tony. :thumbright: :thumbright:

It's a brilliant looking line with some interesting building and even more interesting loco's. Can you tell what that little live steamer with the double overhead cylinders is called :ie Who built it. I think it was amazing. Please correct me if I have described it wrong....

Hi Rod,

Can you tell what that little live steamer with the double overhead cylinders is called :i.e. Who built it. I think it was amazing.

The over-type model locomotive is based on one of a pair of locomotives named Hops and Malt which were one of the first locomotives to be used at the Guinness Brewery. The model is to stand to off scale; the originals had single cylinders a bit like traction engines. The model has very low gearing so runs very slowly and was designed by Peter Angus but this one was made by Mike Lax.

See you at LLanfair?

Take care.

Tony.

It is a lovely railway I haven't been for a few years due to personal circumstances.
