Hi Dan,
It's held at the Gembrook Community Hall, but I'm afraid you have to register and pay upfront. It is a great three days, closed to the public, a big hall, two large layouts, some commercial stands, lunch morning and afternoon teas included. Didn't know what your situation was up there, perhaps next year. Hopefully it will be covered to some extent on Youtube, last years and others have been.
Grant.
PS just remembered It's run by Argyle Loco Works down here in Victoria and details are on their website.

The GSSU website is here. They usually update it a few months before the event.

https://greatsouthernsteamup.com

Other steamups closer to you are GRITH in the Hunter Valley and SHSU in the Southern Highlands. These two alternate, SHSU was on earlier this year, so next year would be GRITH.

http://www.shsteamup.com and http://grithsteamup.blogspot.com

As Grant suggested, there are videos from previous runs on Youtube. Search for GSSU and Great Southern Steamup. Videos from the NSW steamups are on there as well.

Regards,
Graeme

The only problem is that your modelling is so great that I think I'll give up now. ;)

Greetings all,
Spring has sprung on the LNR, so a few pics. from today's runs showing the winters growth (which won't be around long if forecast temps are right for this coming summer.)

Lovely as always Grant.
I do like the final, tail end, shot of the goods. One for this quarter's "Freight Train, Freight train..." Gallery perhaps?

Those photos are fantastic - the locos, stock, railway infrastructure and garden just blend together beautifully. I think the second photo in particular is probably one of my all-time favourite, garden railway photos...

Thanks for posting them - looking forward to more over the coming months!

All the best,

Andrew.

Great to see your pics again, Grant. You have a knack of framing your shots so they look realistic.

The new van looks good. The guards will be happy little vegemiters, especially the ones on the goods roster.....

The greenery behind Warringine seems greener and thicker than I remember, has that taken off now it gets more sunlight?

Regards,
Graeme

Thanks everyone for your kind replies, they are appreciated. As Graeme mentioned it is a new van, and the goods roster guards are very pleased with the update from the old 4 wheeler. I needed a van more suited to running either way, as opposed to the combine type, and the new van is in the older livery (although I have to admit it was the result of mixing the colour under artificial light and not intentional) and suited to both goods and passenger use.

Graeme, will catch up at the GSSU where I see you will have some new items to show.
Grant.
