Wow Grant that looks fantastic you've captured the feel of an Australian mill perfectly

There was some sunshine today, boiled some water in the Lumberjack.

Another great picture, Grant. Do the telegraph poles stay in situ, or do you deploy the for each running session?

Re: The Leawarra Nayook Railway
They've been out for years Rik, to the point that a couple have rotted away in the ground and I've turned a spigot on the lower end that was left and added a 1/2" steel tube to give them a bit more life. I also have two full loads of new poles for the flat wagons when the time comes.

Re: The Leawarra Nayook Railway
I always love the muted colours of your photographs Grant, nothing too striking to draw the eye to one thing in particular, at the expense of the image as a whole.

Re: The Leawarra Nayook Railway
The figures and smoke really bring that mill to life; it has to be one of my favourite line-side industries I've seen, in any scale. That conical spark arrestor quite suits the Regner.

Had a quiet run today with some log bogies and the Lumberjack.
That curve from t'other side! Ted knocks back the throttle on the approach to the road crossing into Nayook. Grant.

Great photos, Grant. Somehow, you always seem to get the light just right. Do you generally try and take photos early or late in the day?

A few shots from today's run with the Hunslet. Full sun but a cool breeze showed up the steam for once.
