Recovering

Post by Narrow Minded » Fri Aug 16, 2013 9:45 am

Just back home after my Septoplasty & Submucous Resection and Endoscopic Sinus Surgery - can't even bend over to put my socks on without getting a nose bleed at the moment, so having to take a break from modelling (and running trains at ground level!) at the moment
Hopefully normal service can be resumed without too much delay! ;)

Wow, had to look that big long set of words up.

Despite the temptation whilst you are healing best to keep away from your ground level WLLR for now. That will quicken the healing process and the subsequent enjoyment of running trains again will be a bigger "high".

Chris Cairns.

just because you shouldnt be at ground leval dont mean you cant enjoy the trains gives you a good time to fix them minor niggles with rolling stock or even build a kit of scratch build something..

or just sit back relax and watch a dvd or u tube vids..

Good luck with the recovery. I had the septoplasty a few years back, not sure about the rest. They also carried out a procedure called Trimming the turbinates. Yes, believe it or not that is a surgical procedure, not something carried out by sailors on the mizzen mast.

I did wonder if something had happened as you'd gone quiet.
Hope the recovery goes well.

I had to have the same done 3 years ago. It's a pain but you do have to do as they say. I didn't and I took ages to heal and then it didn't heal how they wanted it to so I've forever been to and fro to see the doctors as they like to check it :s
If it can be made full scale it can be made 16mm

Thanks for all of the well wishes and advice chaps - it certainly seems a slow road to recovery and the five days of confinement so far have felt like five WEEKS!
Thank God for the "interweb"! ;)
