See, I have got one!

I recently had to have (amongst other things) an MRI scan on my brain, so for those that wonder what goes on in my head;

Crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside! I think you may have just found your new userpic...
Well, now we know the buffer-stops work! (Heard at 2013 "Longest Day" solstice steamup)

With the MRI scanner? Yes :D
Me, I've suffered a "minor stroke", which I hasten to point out is NOT of the Jimmy Saville kind! ;)

Oh crumbs, sorry to hear that. They are amazing bits of kit, aren't they - not particularly enjoyable, mind. Ought to have asked for the pics of my heart.

Thanks guys - I'm more or less OK and on a daily dose of asprin, though the "follow up" examinations (with the eye guy and ECG dept) are still to come

My sympathies go out to you having had two minor strokes myself in a five week period Sept/Oct 2011.
However, keep taking the medication and look forward.
My condition gave me early retirement, more modelmaking time, more socialising time and a new bunch of friends on this site.... who could ask for more?
Peter.

Had a few MRIs now, for my head too.

They always remind me of a KRAFTWERK concert I went to in 1980 something... but they are usually German made so..

 Yes, but no, that "missing bit was where the screen was "refreshing" while Jane took the photo with her 'phone camera ;)

That's probably a lot more to do with me being a computer dunce than anything else - and where would I be without you ribbing me?! :D

Greg,

That's a b--mer. I trust that your 'follow up' examinations come up with the 'all clear'.

With the MRI scan that I had they used a contrast agent dye which was a rather strange experience.

Glad to hear it was minor and treatment can be started. Technology has improved options (and outcomes) for such conditions over the years.

Never linked any CT scans or MRIs I have had to Kraftwerk concerts...but whilst on a German theme.....

the last MRIs I had were just before I had involved my sinus surgery. I do not come out afterwards well at all (warned the docs this) anytime I am put under. Anyhow, SEVERAL hours later after everyone else had left surgery, I finally came to....and spoke in nothing but German for over an hour. Nevermind, I had not used conversational German for years!!!

That's my sense of humour gland!
(Actually, it's where my packed sinuses are being pointed out! On top of everything else, I have to go and have my head flushed - hope I don't start speaking "Squaddie Deutche"! ;) )
