Where's FWLR Rod?

Post by Peter Butler » Sun Mar 10, 2019 5:52 pm

Whenever one of our regular contributors disappears for a while we often wonder why. Rod hasn't posted for several days now and I have Anne's consent to tell you why.... Rod has been admitted to hospital again with a recurring heart condition and, although serious, he is responding to his treatment and undergoing tests to regulate his heart rate.
As we all know, he is often suffering from tiredness due to his enthusiasm for his hobby and overdoing things, he will be closely monitored by Anne and family to ensure he paces himself more carefully in future.
I'm sure his friends and followers will all wish Rod a speedy recovery and release from hospital.
The best things in life are free.... so why am I doing this?

I was wondering where he'd got too - poor Rod, and Anne too. Yes, best wishes from me, too...

I am home now and I would like to thank all of your kinds words and thoughts. Anne was brilliant with conducting herself on my behalf. I would also like to thank Peter Butler for his kind words in messages he sent to Anne. They were very welcoming and (heart) warming, literally..

I am now under strict orders to take it easy, so for awhile I will not be doing anything with our line. That includes any builds, although I may do some rolling stock kits I have had for some months now. The garage is finished now, it just needs a coat of clear lacquer or varnish before it goes outside. I will post an update on my thread soon, but it will need to be a few days, has even doing this post is tiring me.

So thanks again to all and keep on enjoying our brilliant hobby.

PS, Peter, I will send you an email soon.

Good to hear from you, Rod. I'll bet it's good to be home. Take it easy and keep on the mend.

All the best.

Good to hear from you Rod - the weather is warming so you'll soon be able to be solar powered out in the garden

Take it easy

Cheers
