I've been busy.
Perhaps I had let things slip when I was working and indulging in my hobbies. We have six taps similar to these in our house, one was completely frozen, the others either dripped or water wept from their glands

I could never work out how to get in to them to change the washers, we've had various plumbers in to attend odd ones over the years but it's hard to get one in for small jobs
Here's the frozen one with all the beautifications removed

Using steam know-how I cleaned them off in citric acid removing years of mineral deposits. The spindle sealing o-rings were all shot on the vertical taps, those plumbers had never replaced them, the spindle froze due to water seeping past the o-rings and the mineral deposits in the water building up and causing interference with the spindle
Here's the parts showing how they are assembled to remind myself in the future. They are silky smooth now. Only two more to do!

I did an hours work on the trial gas burner for the Quarry Hunslet today though!
