Peterborough
Looking forward to this years show, Is there going to be a gathering of forum members at some point.
Re: Peterborough
This should be done at some point!
Although having broken my leg this weekend, we'll need a lot of room! Still going to the show, if work says I'm able to go in then I can go to the show...

Re: Peterborough
It would be nice to have a photo of all the GRF members at the show.

Re: Peterborough
If you're planning on having a group photo then I'd suggest either outside the Atrium near the Driver for a Fiver or in front of one of the massive doors inside the main hall... the one furthest from the atrium is probably best.
I won't be able to join in as I'll be busy organising and running the show but if you're doing it as I'm passing I'll photobomb ya'll

I have just realised I don't own a cloth cap
It will be good to meet old and new faces again. If you are feeling brave write your user name on a sticker at meet up time.

Re: Peterborough
I absolutely agree with Tom. Annoyingly I shan't be there myself. Due to my complete inability to maintain an accurate diary I managed to get myself rostered on the Bluebell this weekend. I'll be further away from the show than if I stayed at home! It would be lovely to put faces to names though so good luck with meeting up.tom_tom_go wrote: ↑Tue Apr 04, 2017 11:21 am I will not be there but if you can get one then it would be good to put usernames to faces.

"Smith! Why do you only come to work four days a week?

We will be there, family of 4, two hyper excited small blond boys!
Re: Peterborough
Laurence - just a quick not to say - great show! Enjoyed my visit, bought loads, watched loads and thought the layout of stands/stalls/layouts worked really well this year - and to be greeted by the whistle of a real steam loco - well done - thank you to you and the teamlaurence703 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 04, 2017 10:23 am If you're planning on having a group photo then I'd suggest either outside the Atrium near the Driver for a Fiver or in front of one of the massive doors inside the main hall... the one furthest from the atrium is probably best.

Where did I put that uncoupler?
Re: Peterborough
How did everyone find the show in the end? I thought it was good considering I went with a broken ankle and had to be pushed around by the old man.
Still, winning the JW trophy made up for it!

Re: Peterborough
I was most impressed by your entry!
I won the modular cup... my first win and my second ever entry.

Cheers for the compliments! The model can be found here:

I was quite surprised that I won actually as-due to the way MOTY works, it was anonymous and I couldn't state it was my first year apprenticeship project! Also the paintwork wasn't my work as I mentioned on the judging form. Interestingly, according to a certain Mr Bushill who dropped it off for me on the Friday (I was originally meant to have surgery on Saturday but it got cancelled in the end), the judges questioned whether the model was professionally made; most likely due to Morgan Sr's models that have been built for customers! Dad was most chuffed by this!
Wonder what to build next...
