Hi, thanks for your kind comments, the parts are cut out using a cnc gantry router with a 2mm bit,
3mm ply for the main body and roof, 1mm ply for the framing effect and the chassis is one piece cut from 12mm ply.
IP engineering wheels, axle boxes and buffers.

Very nice, I like that very much...
I'm a fan of guards vans generally, although I only have two non-passenger ones at the mo, and one of those - this Brandbright kit - is a model of the dual-piped example that ran on early Welsh Highland passenger services:
The other is my trusty old Mamod van, with a few minor mods and a coat of paint. Not highly detailed and a little tatty, but I'm very fond of it...
Thanks Mr Meths for reviving this thread on your worthy crusade to re-invigorate the forum - any more guards vans out there folks?
Cheers,
Andrew.
Here are my four, in order of construction all from IP Engineering;
1st is an Ezee kit (early 2011), originally it had a lamp iron but it was replaced with a tail lamp kit, only used when River Ankh is out (once this year)
The 2nd (mid 2011), originally part of the P-Way fleet, upon the acquisition of Minnie it became part of the main line fleet until the construction of E.11. It's now in storage under a constant threat of sale.
E.11 (Autumn 2012) is included as it is used on freight workings, and on passenger trains when extra luggage space is needed. Often used and somewhat abused!
Finally (May 2013) there is another Ezee kit for use with the Shed, which itself is seldom used.

You're too kind! However, I can put up with that kind of response all day long!!!
It seems you are near York? If so, did you see the exhibition at the NRM (some ten or more years ago now) which included a model of the 'Far Twittering and Oysterperch Railway' after Rowland Emett? If so, it was one I designed (the layout, not the exhibition) and was built along with coleagues from the Warley MRC, of which I am still a member. The exhibition was a commemoration of the railway preservation movement and lasted for 6 months.

Mounted lighting of the two LEDs. The quality of the set is very good. The quality of construction could be better.
I built earlier Guards wagon PI-based kit. The body and roof made from a sheet of plastic Tamiya.
