Accucraft SR wagons

Post by 16mm » Thu Jun 27, 2019 6:20 am

Can I ask what type of cargo would have been hauled in the SR wagons, just so I have an idea of what to fill the wagons with.

You can't go far wrong with a load of coal. During the 1920s it was a staple of railway traffic as can be seen at 14:20 on this video - https://youtu.be/95_ojCmEOCA

Hi Don
Thanks to your question, I realised I'd not created a single source showing the various ways I've gone about loading my wagons. I'm certainly not claiming this information is definitive but as my railway is set during the early 1930s (ie the period of the Big Four), there might be a couple of ideas relevant to your needs.

Rik,
Yet one more of your helpful Blogs, thank you. I think I've seen most of those before, of course, but it's good to see them all in one place.
