Re: 6 coupled diesel
Superb build. Hats off to you for this one.
Re: 6 coupled diesel
Cheers for the positive comments, much appreciated! Roof and a bit of cab interior next:

Gareth, where are the louvred panels from? They add huge amounts of realism just on their own.

A beautifully finished model. Plenty of good detail. Some impressive metal working skills in evidence.

Re: 6 coupled diesel
Thanks very much, metal work comes fairly naturally to me, wood, plastic or electrics on the other hand are a completely different story!
Managed to get a bit of time in the shed over the weekend, ended up with some steps and some vac pipes. Pipes are brandbright, the ones that come with the spring, but shortened and with some heatshrink over the stretched out spring as I buggered up the spring trying to remove it for painting!

Re: 6 coupled diesel
Thread is now up to date with the current state of play on the loco so updates will slow down a bit! Raised the scrap box today for bits to make up some air tanks and pipework
Re: 6 coupled diesel
All done with the air tanks, just getting the lamp up and running to go now. Right now it seems like a better idea to sit in the sun with a beer and watch trains go past though!

Any better? I’m brand new to YouTube and too be honest it’s a little over my head!

And up the annoyingly unavoidably steep gradient on my little line

Re: 6 coupled diesel
Very nice, the sound is very industrial, as for the steep gradient, didn't really notice it.
