New Pressure Gauge for Zillertal?

Post by PeachBottom » Tue Jul 24, 2012 2:03 pm

I know I spoke with several of you while Tim and I were in Wales about my Zillertal but I've forgotten most of what I was told...should have had my dictaphone with me!

Anyway. Tim needs to replace the pressure gauge on his Pooter, so I thought I would take the chance to also replace the gauge on Zillertal. It's current gauge isn't measured out in PSI (it's in bars(?)) and it's bigger than the face on my watch!

Any ideas if a standard roundhouse pressure gauge will fit on it and is there anything special I need to do?

(I also need advice about fixing the timing....)

(pus sensible hat on)

The syphon is the u-shaped tube which should connect the pressure gauge to the boiler - it might need its threads cleaning and a poke through with a tiny brush before fitting the new pressure gauge.
