As I suspected, the narrower the gauge, the more unstable (or at least looks unstable ).

Interesting you should post that reply Rik, I was watching those videos along with the first one mentioned. I think a 'Rocket' based version is due.... watch elsewhere!

An interesting set up. Apparently the whole collection has now been moved to the Tanat Valley Light Railway near Oswestry https://www.tanatvalleyrailway.co.uk/monorail, and whilst the website describes the set up, other comments elsewhere online suggest it is not being progressed beyond an 1/8th mile track. Whether that is related to the pestilence sweeping our land I don't know.
