finally got to give her a proper test run at gmes, few minor tweaks needed but pretty happy overall! Bonus footage of a couple of matts locos at the end.

I can't speak for Garethh's engine, but they're generally quite easy to work on. Every loco is a bit different, some bits more fiddly than others. A well-lit table or bench is a must! Also a jar or some small container to put the screws in, so they don't get lost. Don't ask how I know.

Apologies, missed this question. It depends how you build it really, I tried to make mine easy to work on so the bodywork bolts on in sections, and the wheels are Walsall ones one square axles so can be easily removed without disturbing the quartering.

Took her for another run at guildford last night, did a bit of load testing with a borrowed rake of wagons as my 7 weren’t really troubling it! Pretty surprised it managed to shift them. Some bonus footage of some lovely locos down there.
