Andel Moelwyn Driver

Post by LlanpwllBrynwyn » Sat Feb 23, 2013 12:01 pm

Hi all, does anyone know where I can get hold of a sitting driver suitable for an Andel Moelwyn? Detailing on mine is complete apart from the all important Driver...

Sorry this does not help in your quest for a driver, however, that's a nice tractor you got there:)

Mr Swift is very cheap and could be modified to suit with a bit of Fimo modelling clay to make a cap or whatever :)

That's looking good! Have you re-painted? I've got a mid-green one and although it looks fine I'd prefer a painted finish to the pre-coloured resin look. Not entirely sure the best way to go about it though - what paint would be best etc. It would be tricky to spray I think...

Sorry, no particular thoughts re a figure - I'm planning to butcher one of my gang of jumble sale and charity shop toys to drive mine I think. I'm probably going to add vac pipes too...

Cheers,

Andrew.

The model is in as ordered Dark Green. Not sure if this is a pigment added in while casting the parts of whether it is a mid-green one painted afterwards.

I would venture the latter as I have been putting together one of the tourist car kits in the mid-green and I can see the filler bits in the casting... I plan to paint them (ive got 3 of the same profile coach) anyway to match a Green/Ivory bug box I bought not so long ago...

Now all I need is the railway to run them on!
