Mixing it up

Post by Matloughe » Thu Oct 01, 2020 4:57 pm

Afternoon all,

Occasional lurker Matloughe here!
With a peculiar question; given that recently there have been a number of good looking inexpensive Gauge 1 kits for wagons released. Would it be possible to mix the scales somewhat and fit a G1 wagon kit body with a 16mm scale NG chassis in 32mm gauge to produce a hybrid wagon?

I am tempted to dabble in G1 given the apparent ease of entry for some wagon kits but not overly interested in another track gauge to mix it up with (currently) he says looking at the display of 7.25", 5" & 3" track neatly hanging from the wall of the garage.

Thank you for any help/advice.
Kind Regards,
Matloughe

Hi Matloughe
I haven't experience of G1 to SM32 but I have converted G scale (standard gauge) wagons to SM45.
