If anyone has one fitted to an Edrig, etc could you measure the dimensions please of the resonator chamber and let me know what they are?

I've fitted two. Not to my Edrig, but to RH Karen and Assoc Victory.
Both whistles are identical.
Resonator diameter is 9.6mm and projection from spec plate into cab is 70mm.

Doesn't really matter. You will get one designed for Edrig and it will fit. I put them on all my locos

I have that resonator chamber already and I have never been happy with the sound it makes as I believe it is too small which is why I want to know the size of the Accucraft type chambers that are fitted to Edrig, etc.

Perhaps Paul Bailey may provide the specific data.

I had a go at making a larger resonator chamber using 15mm diameter copper pipe (left over from DIY plumbing).

The DJB chamber is shown as a comparison:

It sounds better on air compared to the original so I will steam test it next. Although it is bigger in diameter it fits inside my Roundhouse Silver Lady cab as it is the same length as the DJB one.

The end pieces need tidying up (the larger end piece will be shaped as a bracket so it can be bolted to the cab as per the original).
