Rushton Bucyrus 10RB digger
Does anybody know who makes a Rushton and Bucyrus 10RB digger model suitable for 16 mm garden railway
Re: Rushton Bucyrus 10RB digger
I'd be very very surprised if anyone does, tbh. Langley do( did?) a 00 one and I seem to remember back in the days of my youth there was die-cast toy by Budgie or somebody, but it was only a toy and I've got no idea of scale, but I doubt it would be big enough for anything like 16mm.

Hi!,
This may not be a lot of help, but I have seen one.
I don't know if its a scale Ruston and I think it may be of US manufacture. I think I've seen them occasionally on Ebay in the tin toys or vintage toys section . It reminds me of the Triang tinplate Jones mobile crane, in that it has been well modelled in metal, not just a tin box with litho windows etc.
Sorry not to be of more help, don't have a brand name, I know the colour is red with a grey undercarrieage.
Grant.

It's a shame no one produces these in 16mm scale, I'm sure many people would want them. I know I could use one for my line.
"So what's yer name?" asked the driver.
"Charlie, sir."
"I don't address my firemen by their Christian names, son. Give me your surname."
"Darling, sir."
"Okay, Charlie, start shoveling."

There were some drawings in the 16mm assoc. Special on Leighton Buzzard. They aren't manufacturers blue prints but have key dimensions. If you are thinking of scratchbuilding I can scan them and mail them to you (or send you paper copies).

Would be very handy if you could please. Can you PM them to me?
Thanks,
Ronan.

If I can add the scan to a pm I will, if not may need an email address.

I don't know if it is any help but I am sure that Tonka did an excavator toy, not very detailed but it might be a start and may be around the right size.
If at first you don't succeed, use a bigger hammer!
