Very impressed Jim! You do work quickly and still manage to produce good models. I like the rough-cast finish, it is most convincing.

a bit more progress tonight windows and doors painted on a few more signs added.and the garage sign lettering was dulled down a little iv also sat and cut loads and loads of card slates for the roof

That looks great- just like whitewashed lime mortar over stone. That will look good in the garden.

roof done tonight card slates put on will leave to dry then coat with knotting

a few coats of knotting added tonight its strange stuff but soaks in to the card great jest keep painting it on until it starts to run off then go back add more let it soak in then add more etc etc .I will leave it too dry over night and may add another coat tomorrow .

bit more progress tonight roof painted and slates cut and guled on the flat roof etc .the garage now has a very smart car in the showroom and lights up

That looks just the job with the car in the showroom and the Poundland LED Christmas light set come in really handy... I know because I have used them myself!

yes they are pound land lights got a bit more to do want to make a canopy for the pumps and have lights under that too having trouble finding some good petrol pumps so may have to make them .I want to get this building outside this week and get the cottages I made in place too .

bit more progress tonight been so busy at work I haven't had the time to do a lot on this model recently.the garage forcourt / canopy is done with lighting underneath im still looking at petrol pumps and will have to order some from fleebay soon .iv also built a stone wall its always worth letting people know you have a railway in the garden a bag of modeller's sand stones turn up on my doorstep the other day .it turns out my mums friend was cleaning out her sons old room and found 3 bags and kindly gave them too me iv got a lot left so il build a few more walls at some point.iv also got some petrol /garage signs to put on the canopy and then this model can go outside
