Slip Eccentrics...

Post by JMORG » Tue Sep 30, 2014 5:58 pm

Hi all,
The gradual process of assembling the components for my model of "Moel Tryfan" has progressing well! :)
Just a quick question, would the hole position on the eccentric be affected by the length of travel of the D valve, or the distance between the inlet and exhaust holes in the valve chest? I hope I make sense! :D

The eccentric offset will be half the travel of the valve providing it is a direct link with no rocking arms.
Dan,

James: "Dan, can you use your hearing and tell me if that trains coming ?"
