Why do we do it - poll

I've decided to make the question into a poll - just out of interest. If you have a reason that is not listed, then please comment below.

Want to be a "real" driver.
So sitting on the loco is much closer than running beside an O-gauge tinplate loco, burning my fingers in the process. (no offence meant).
Sitting on the tender of my LBSC Minx, putting the coal in, working the injector, feeling the power of the loco, hearing the sound change when going uphill. This is the real feeling.

That does sound like fun. I think I could be enticed to live steam by a ride on loco .....

Thanks to all those who have responded to my poll so far. There's still a week or so left if you've not yet had a chance to tick your reasons for playing with trains creating a miniaturised railway world in your garden :D

Love your idea of a poll, I quite enjoy hearing the hows and whys of fellow modellers in this hobby.

You don't have to register. If you are logged in, it just appears at the top of the thread. Once you've voted you can see the rest of the results.
