The little spot is not relevant, I'd forgotten it was there. It forces my slicer to position the window slightly further up the print bed so that it fits inside the cylindrical volume of my Delta printer.
Btw How did the push-bike turn out?

Re: Bike
Unless you want to edit it you don't need to put it through TinkerCad, just load the STL straight into your slicer (Cura maybe) and scale it up.
Roughly 400% but more precisely 457%.

Re: Bike
Hi Rod,
It says it's 1:87 (HO scale), can you just scale it up 400% in your slicer?

Tony also puts a lot of videos of said conversions up on YouTube, all under his name, again worth a quick search.

Re: Where to build a railway, I know, dining room table!
Just catching up on this, and it looks very interesting - I'm finding myself tempted to get stuck into some sort of quirky micro-tramway, with tiny 4-wheeled trams... Lovely loco, by the way Steve. Andrew. I don't know if you follow the Facebook 16mm group, but John Rogers is currently building a m...

Has anyone determined the smallest footprint for a balloon loop, and wether it's possible with the available curves?
I'm trying to plan a continuous run micro layout, but as mentioned in my previous thread I can't yet print the track pieces.

Re: MonoPrice Delta and no PC or Laptop.
I should add that at the same time they bought my Delta, my son also bought a second hand Ender 4, which he's still trying to get to grips with. Once he's perfected its use, it means I will have access to a larger printer only half an hour away (I've already put in an order for some LocoRemote track...

MonoPrice Delta and no PC or Laptop.
Well I've finally joined the club! My son and daughter bought me a MonoPrice Delta for Christmas. Although this is quite an unusual machine with a couple of limitations it seems to me to be an interesting introduction to this burgeoning extension to our hobby. Positives: Comes fully assembled and re...

Wouldn't a match truck suffice, with a swivelling coupling at one end to couple to the Tesco stock, and a fixed coupling at the other end to attach to your Lego stock?

Thanks for all the replies. I had forgotten entirely about the slicing stage  I am having a look at AutoPrint, there are very few purely online slicers available. Next step will be to pass a gcode file to a friend of my son and see what comes back. Based on this I will be able to decide whethe...

The planting is really filling out, sitting looking at a cold autumnal day here in the UK, you have to remind yourself that you guys are in the full throws of spring.

Re: 3 D Printing 16mm models
A question for our 3D-printing experts out there if I may. I'm considering a cheap printer of the style which Rik has pointed out on eBay. I initially just want to print some window frames for some Foamex builds I have planned, and at the quantity I require the printer would pay for itself on its fi...

Re: Live steam at a bargain price...?
Since following the link, my Facebook feed has been inundated with adverts for this. I too am quite curious, but a word of caution, if it is a scam then they will probably ship you something (not necessarily what you asked for) this gets around the Paypal buyer protection, because they can show a pr...

Re: New Forum Funding
I'm with Rik on this one, Facebook is very much "in the moment", the value of the forum is the archive.
For instance I would consider it criminal to lose the like of Peter's thread with its 2455 responses and 360306 views.
We will just have to wait and watch to see what happens.

Water is not a very good conductor of electricity, it's impurities that make it conductive, i.e. salt water.
Rust would be the main issue.

Just watched the "from the air" video on the big telly.
I concur with Phillipy that the usual perspective is more engaging, but this does allow one to work out the relation between your elements, and a reveals a surprisingly simple track plan.
Congratulations to all involved.

Re: Farlington & District Light Railway
Also at the start was hoping to go O gauge so all my track is Peco O gauge track. Am i going to struggle using SM32 vehicles or is it just the scale of sleepers etc that's different? It is going to be dependent on what code rail you're using. You may find the flanges on SM32 stock catch the chairs ...
