Re: Yr Hen Felin & Yr Orsaf Newydd
Happy New Year Phil, Great to see your line with some great friends. :thumbright: very nice smooth slow running of your rake of coaches and that little milk van looks perfect with them also. Hopefully we can get out and do some more on our line soon, really far to wet and the grass is a bit long als...

Re: Time to build a railway...but where?
Yes it is Peter, I usually ask our little local heritage railway who are brilliant by the way, if I can have lump sometimes. Last time I did a got 3 biggish lumps and I still have loads of it left. Best bit for me though was smashing it down to bits,
Great fun

I agree with all comments. A well deserved winner, that's a photo that could go on a calendar and be proud of it to be seen by hundreds of people.
I would buy the calendar if it was on it.

Re: Nolwyn Valley Tramway
Thats a really nice attempt Drew. Well done, although I have used modelling knives for mine in the past, they usually end up not that straight and not square, even if I use a steel ruler. Thats why I use my little saw now, though the stock on the saw can get off square a little bit if I'am not that ...

Re: FINAL NEW FWLR LINE
a train for the 3 year old, brilliant way of getting them into it. I wish I had started a lot earlier than I did, early sixties for me, what time I wasted pursuing other so called hobbies, although I did enjoy some of them, beer and wine making ect ect....

Re: FINAL NEW FWLR LINE
I will be building some more of those Little Vans Drew, but will mix them up a little I think, some with sliding doors and some without, but it will look like they can be opened. Also some more 2, 3 and 4 plank wagons. I really enjoy scratch building in wood and in my eyes they do look more realisti...

Re: Time to build a railway...but where?
Greg and the rest of the guys are so correct. The 'Master' has done it again and turned out a superb model of a Garret. The weathering is perfect and shows what can be achieved with what is some excellent scratch building. One question :?: Peter. Did you take a photo of how you did the wiring, it wo...

That is a tiny van, Rod. Nicely finished. Rik I want one! :love10: I kind of have a thing for stubby little items of rolling stock... Re: Biting the bullet - wholesale conversion from 45mm to SM32
Sell your 45mm gauge stuff to finance getting more 32mm from the UK, especially the track. You could get some Cliff Barker track. It's all made to order and fairly cheap and it looks brilliant. https://www.cliffbarker.me.uk You would then have what you like more and enjoy it more Keith. Keep on enjo...
